Ming Yongle
Ming Chengzu, qui prend le nom de règne de Yongle (chinois simplifié : 永乐 ; chinois traditionnel : 永樂 ; pinyin : Yǒnglè ; Wade : Yung³-lo⁴ ; EFEO : Yung-lo ; litt. « Joie éternelle ») ( - ), de son nom personnel Zhu Di (chinois : 朱棣 ; pinyin : Zhū Dì ; Wade : Chu¹ Ti⁴ ; EFEO : Tchou Te), est le troisième empereur de la dynastie Ming et l'un des plus célèbres empereurs chinois. Fils d'un des meneurs de la révolte des Turbans rouges, il renverse son neveu Jianwen et règne de 1402 à 1424. Il mène une politique centralisatrice et expansionniste et transfère la capitale de Nankin à Pékin afin de surveiller plus facilement l'activité des Mongols. Il est l'initiateur de la construction de la Cité interdite de Pékin.

Noble Consort Zhaoxian
Noble Consort Zhaoxian (14th century – 1420), of the Wang clan, was a consort of the Yongle Emperor.
She became a member of the imperial harem of the Yongle Emperor in 1409. She was described as humble and mild. She played an important role in court because of her influence. The emperor respected her and she was known to have the ability to calm him down during his frequent anger attacks. Because of this, the members of the court, both princes, princesses and other people at court, regarded her as a form of protection against the emperor.

Empress Renxiaowen (仁孝文皇后; 5 March 1362 – 6 August 1407), of the Xu clan, was the empress consort to the Yongle Emperor and the third empress of the Chinese Ming dynasty. She was well educated, compiling bibliographies of virtuous women, an activity connected with court politics.
