Ο Γιόχαν Γ΄, εξελληνισμένα Ιωάννης (Johan III, 20 Δεκεμβρίου 1537 - 17 Νοεμβρίου 1592) ήταν βασιλιάς της Σουηδίας (1568-1592) από τον Οίκο των Βάσα. Ήταν ο δευτερότοκος υιός τού Γουσταύου Α' βασιλιά της Σουηδίας και της δεύτερης συζύγου του Μαργαρίτας Λέιγιονχουβουντ.

Catherine Jagiellon (Polish: Katarzyna Jagiellonka; Swedish: Katarina Jagellonica, Lithuanian: Kotryna Jogailaitė; 1 November 1526 – 16 September 1583) was a princess of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and Queen of Sweden from 1569 as the wife of King John III. Catherine had significant influence over state affairs during the reign of her spouse. She negotiated with the pope to introduce Counter-Reformation in Sweden. She was the mother of Sigismund III Vasa.

Gunilla Bielke; Swedish: Gunilla Johansdotter Bielke af Åkerö (25 June 1568 – 19 July 1597) was Queen of Sweden as the second wife of King John III. Queen Gunilla is acknowledged to have acted as the political adviser to John III and to have influenced his religious policies in favour of Protestantism.
